Rivers Inlet is located 300 miles north of Vancouver B.C. allows our guests to fish for the world's biggest salmon at a relaxed pace in a pristine, uncrowded wilderness setting. Fish for trophy sized king (chinook), silver (coho), as well as halibut, lingcod and yelloweye rock fish (red snapper) only five minutes from the lodge. Our season is June to September and we accommodate up to 28 guests at one time. Sightings of whales, seals and eagles are commonplace as you fish and explore our rugged unspoiled coastline. We have the fishing action that you have been dreaming about. A trip with us is truly the fishing adventure of a lifetime!!
Our exceptional level of service and attention to detail is rooted in the fact that we are an owner operated facility. Our lodge renovations in 2001 provided us with a larger dining room and more accommodations (double or triple occupancy). Our groups of 28 guests change over every Thursday or Sunday from June to September. Sometimes we have one corporate group and at other times smaller groups; families, couples etc.
Rooms are double occupancy and the hearty meals are nothing short of spectacular. The service is second to none with 14 staff servicing the needs of 26 guests. From valet parking of your boat to cleaning of your catch, our attention to detail is evident everywhere you turn. We go out of our way to ensure that your stay with us exceeds your expectations.
The fishing has been phenomenal in Rivers Inlet: an abundance of salmon including kings over seventy pounds and silvers over 20 lbs. The halibut, were mostly in the less than 50 pounds range. Our lodge records remain at 72.5 pounds forking salmon, 24 pounds for silver salmon and 149 pounds for halibut. All caught on light tackle without any aids other than expert fishing techniques, netting or gaffing. Guests did a lot of catch and release and yet were able to take home with them their limit of 8 salmon. Others sent their fish to St. Jean's Cannery for processing and took home fewer fish. |
There are also plenty of other activities (besides fishing!) to keep you busy during your stay including wildlife photography and viewing of whales, eagles & seals as well as forest & beach hiking.
