    Perched atop a humpback hill (one of the tallest drumlins in the area) and surrounded by 140 private acres of varied habitat, it offers an experience of forests, meadows, wetlands and riverside, as well as plentiful wildlife, trees, wildflowers, birds and geology. Unsullied by daytime haze or night-time light pollution, you will enjoy the clear views of the sky around the clock., marvelling at the brilliant canopy of stars, or perhaps even a display of northern lights.

    It is situated on the Styx River, a part of the Saugeen River System, in a region peppered with small lakes and close to Georgian Bay and Lake Huron. Winter, spring, summer or fall, there is plenty to do.

    Deposits: Top
    Your dates will be held on reserve when we receive a minimum Can$600/wk deposit. The deposit becomes your security/damage deposit upon payment of the full rental fee and will be returned to you after the inspection. Payment in full is required two months before your arrival date. Any booking within two months of arrival requires payment in full including the security deposit.

    Cancellations or Refunds: Top
    In the event you are forced to cancel your plans and booking, our policy is to give you back as much of your payments as possible. If we are able to re-rent your time slot at a comparable rate, we will return most of your deposit, holding back only a small ($100-$200) administration fee.

    Your security deposit will be refunded after inspection of the premises.

  • The $600 deposit becomes your security deposit upon payment of the full rental fee and is returned after the inspection, within two weeks of departure.
  • We do not hold back any part of the security deposit for minor breakage, normal wear and tear, or normal cleaning.
  • During the summer, check-in is after 5pm Friday and checkout is before 11am Friday.
  • During the rest of the year we are flexible on arrival/departure times and the length of stay.
  • No smoking indoors, no drugs, and no wild parties or rowdiness is permitted; please respect our place as your own.
  • Well-behaved pets and overnight guests welcome but please advise us in advance.

    We cater to larger groups, extended families, reunions and business workshops, corporate retreats etc. For a smaller group, the abundant space and privacy with access to our 140-acre property, is an unparalleled experience of luxury and relaxation.
