We welcome travellers to Enjoy our Waterfront Vacation Home on the St. Marys River IN Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario! This has been named by our guests "The Executive Cottage".
Located on the St. Marys River at a point where the river is about 1 mile wide. and looks to the natural landscape of the U.S.A Sugar Island.
The properties boasts amazing Privacy, as it is on a short trail off the main subdivison road, yet is a 10 minute drive from Sault Ste. Marie's down town core and a two minute drive from Hwy 17 East.
It features 2 bedrooms ,both with Queen beds. The Master bedroom has it's own 1/2 bath, and a spectacular view of the river visable right from the bed!
Spacious Livingroom with electric fireplace, and large window to the waterfront views. ( hummingbirds frequent the feeder at the front window) Cable TV . A front Deck has lawn chairs, and table for outside dining, perhaps on the propane BBQ. The Formal dining room is able to seat 10 at the outstanding wooden antique dining table.
Spacious full bathroom, tastefully decorated. Towels included.
Fully equipped Kitchen with DISHWASHER and all convenieces. Even a cappicino maker!
A separate Laundry room has washer/dryer - iron and ironing board.
Then a family room with books/games/VCR movies. and a fold- out couch. Also with views of the River!
A Carport helps keep your car Snow free in wintertime.
The Grounds Boast Gardens with many blooming trees/and bushes. Roses, and Lilacs line the perifery of the property. Raspberry bushes provide the biggest berries we have ever seen!
A Waterfront GAZEBO allows for a favourite spot to relax,.. enjoy a meal. enjoy the views and abundant Bird watching opportunites. A VARIETY Ducks can be fed at the beach. Geese, merganzers, hawks and even Bald Eagles are often seen in this unspoiled natural part of the River.
A Bonfire Pit is close to the Sandy Beach. Star Gazing... and often Holiday fireworks can be enjoyed at the bonfire, or from the Gazebo.. Canoe available upon request.
Many fishing opportunites can be enjoyed! Walleye have been caught in front of the neighbors house! Monster Pike habitate a bay less than 1/4 mile away! Saint Mary's River is also known for it's Salmon Runs,Atlantic, and Chinook.. and who knows.... Sturgeon are there too!!

Because it is a Northern Town, guests find it's friendliness very refreshing.
Fall Arts Festival, Bon Soo Winter Carnival, Curling Bonspiels, Hockey Tournaments, The New Essar Center hosts Major League Hockey, and also Concerts.
Variety of shopping malls, Restaurants.
Hiawatha Highlands has Cross- Country Skiing. (10 minutes away)
Searchmont Ski Resort has Nordic and Alpine skiing(1/2 hr drive away)
The International Bridge to the USA and Soo Michigan provide further exploring opportunites.. (Famous MacKinac Island is a 1 hour drive.). and the Locks are Historic with Hiking Trails and also is a popular World Renoun fishing Hotspot.
BEST YET.... You can travel east/west and north... to enjoy scenic wilderness and inland lakes and rivers within a 1/2 hour drive.
