This is a fabulous castle in Tuscany with 11th Century foundations. Here you can experience the atmosphere is an impressive and historic home in great comfort and with extraordinary views over the Tiber valley.
There are frescoed galleries, carved stone staircases, arched ceilings and antique furnishings in all rooms as well as modern day amenities. The private pool is over 50 ft long . There are 9 bedrooms and 6 bathrooms plus a pool shower. Guests can enjoy tea or cocktails un the giant magnolia tree on the front law or relax by the pool.Galbino is ideal for large family reunions or for friends enjoing a holiday together. Nearest village, medieval Anghiari,is 10 minutes away by car. The location is ideal for touring both Tuscany and Umbria. Services of the owner's housekeeper are included part time. | To get to Florence, guests can leave their cars at the Arezzo train station, 12 miles away and take one of the many trains into center town. San Sepulcro, home of Piero della Francesca, is 8 kms, Siena 60 kms, Perugia, 40 kms, Assisi, 50 kms. Day trips to all the famous towns of Tuscany and Umbria are easily accessible. |
