‘Heartbeat of the Caribbean’. Everybody knows Jamaica as the home of Bob Marley, but there’s more to it than just reggae and Rastafarians. Jamaica is the third largest island in the Caribbean and has everything from wonderful white-sand beaches, mountains, waterfalls, wildlife to the best coffee in the world. Kingston is the capital, surprising visitors with elegant, old colonial houses against the stunning backdrop of the Blue Mountains. Jamaica has gained a reputation for violence, and there certainly are no-go areas in Kingston, but most Jamaicans are overwhelmingly friendly and fun-loving.

Nightlife: Jamacia is considered the "home of reggae music". And as suspected there is no lack of night-time entertainment. Every town or village has some sort of nightlife including regular street dances and steel bands regularly play. Limbo dancing, fire-eating, torch-lit steel band shows are common in various towns and cities throughout the island. Nightclubs feature jazz, soca, reggae and other music.
