Fanningstown Castle is a romantic, gothic style castle dating from the 12th Century nestling amoung dairy farms in the heart of Ireland's Golden Vale region. It has been beautifully and lovingly restored over the years and is now a wonderful 5 bedroom vacation home which retains many of the castle's original features.
The accommodation comprises 5 double bedrooms with a choice of double or twin beds, 3 bathrooms, a fully fitted kitchen which has everything you could possibly look for, dining room, sitting room and library. There is a large gas grill and lots of seating on the patio area.
Fanningstown Castle is located 3 miles from the village of Adare often described as Ireland's prettiest village. Adare offers golf, fishing, horse back riding, nice country walks, quaint shops and good restaurants and pubs to it's visitors.
It is a wonderful location for taking day trips to Cliffs of Moher, Ring of Kerry, Dingle, Rock of Cashel, Bunratty Castle and Folk Park and lots, lots more. You are only 40 minutes from Shannon Airport.

We offer private fishing on our own stretch of the River Maigue, don't forget to bring along the rods if you would like to do this.
Adare offers horse riding, golf with a choice of 2 great 18 hole courses of which Adare is a championship course, nice relaxing country walks, small quaint shops offering the best of irish crafts, great restaurants and pubs.
Limerick regarded as the Gourmet capital of Ireland is only a 15 minute drive away if you would like to avail of a wider choice of restaurants, visit the Hunt Museum, King John's Castle, visit our wonderful shops many of whom stock Irish designer labels and perhaps visit the Open Farmer's Market on early each Saturday morning.
Most guests will choose the Bunratty or Knappogue Castle banquets, get to dine and be entertained like the kings of olden times. Definitely worth doing this. |
