This magnificent villa named Giselle is perched on a hillside overlooking Baie Rouge. Built in 2002, Giselle is located in Terres Bases one of the few gated developments in the Caribbean featuring 2 1/2 acre homesites.
The view of the Caribbean is 180 degrees with fluffy sailboats plying the blue waters during the day and giant cruise ships in the distance at night under a blanket of stars.
Giselle has four master bedrooms all with bathrooms en suite and all the same size; there is a fifth bedroom on another level. Every room has a spectacular view of the sea.
As you enter your view is across a wonderfully furnished lounge, through a 30 foot open doorway, across a sheltered veranda, a jacuzzi and a heated swimming pool. That’s right, heated, one of the very few on the island; you might need it if the temperature at night dips into the low 70’s. And the pool is large enough for some exercise if you are so inclined or simply lounge by it and drink in the view.
The kitchen opens up to the outside. The dining room is outside under roof. There is a television room and plenty of space so everyone can go off for his or her own peace and quiet or gather in one of the lounges or at the kitchen counter for conversation. The joy of villas over hotels is the space they provide over and above your bedroom. However luxurious a hotel lobby may be it will still be thronged with strangers and as you get ready for a swim you might not want to be viewed by strangers. It is perfectly possible for a group of friends, family or acquaintances to live virtually separate existences or to enjoy times together; you set the program.
You can go to a different restaurant every night for a year and never repeat yourself or on some nights you can hire a chef to prepare meals.
The bedrooms and TV lounge are air conditioned or you can enjoy the breeze. It seems there is always just enough breeze up here - one of the enormous advantages of being on a rolling hillside. Each bedroom/bath suite is like a separate cottage connected with a common roof and veranda opening onto the pool and the terrace.
There are three phone lines if you need them; one each for phone, fax and computer.
The advantage of a villa like this is that it is spacious. It easily sleeps 10 in considerable style so a group of friends or an extended family can rent it even in high season and yet the cost to any of the individual couples would be about what they would pay for a week in a condo in Florida. |
| Enjoy ALL the comforts of home plus many, many more! One of the few heated pools and Spas in St. Martin (It gets a little chilly at night during the first part of the year). See the Long Description above for all the splendid Amenities Villa Giselle has to offer! |

At nearly $200 per couple per day, a "seven sunset" vacation for eight guests would only cost between $4500 and $7500 depending on the season. Contact us today to get a customized rate based on the number of sunsets and number of guests in your party. 800-736-4900.
A good hotel with our view and our amenities would cost more but you would be without the privacy, the luxury, and the space. In fact, just 5 minutes away in our same gated area is the famed La Semana Hotel with rates of about $600 per night per room. |
