| The all-season Camden Windward House Bed and Breakfast Inn offers five comfortable rooms and three spacious suites within the town’s historic district and just five minutes’ walk from the village center, with its scenic harbor, quaint shops and galleries, varied restaurants, and exciting schooners. Almost as nearby are the mountainous Camden Hills State Park and, for winter visitors, the Camden Snow Bowl ski area. Built by sea captain Elijah Glover in 1854 and recently renovated to modern standards, the inn combines the romance of Maine’s nautical heritage with contemporary amenities to assure the utmost enjoyment for its guests. All rooms feature air conditioning, private baths with showers, private phones with data ports, cable tv with HBO and VCR, and non-allergenic king, queen, or twin featherbeds, as well as cozy sitting areas. Some also afford the charm of fireplaces, private decks, jacuzzis, and deep, claw-footed soaking tubs. Mornings bring the inn’s full-menu breakfast, featuring traditional downeast dishes and tempting daily specials prepared to order from fresh local ingredients. The prime location, accommodations, and cuisine served up by the Camden Windward House guarantee an unforgettable Midcoast vacation any time of the year. |
All rooms in the Inn have a Queen or King bed, private bath in the room, air conditioning, color cable tv, clock radio/cd player and direct dial telephone w/data port. Some rooms have cathedral ceilings and skylights, private decks or balconys and/or Jacuzzi whirlpool tubs.

Wonderful house from the 1850s that has been transformed into a true gem of a B&B. Great location, freshly redone guest rooms with all the amenities and an exquisite attention to detail by the innkeepers. All in all, this is the finest B&B we have stayed in during more than 15 years of B&B'ing."
- K. & V. Jennings, Norfolk VA
"Warm hospitality and bountiful breakfasts await guests at this 1854 Greek Revival, a stylish B&B that has been upgraded by the owners into a handsome property... The breakfast is a highlight, offering a choice of items and a choice of times at which to partake... The common rooms in this rambling structure include a comfortable living room with an unusual soapstone fireplace and a smaller library stocked with books, flyers, and a guest refrigerator and ice maker... The guest rooms all have oversize beds and private baths, and are decorated with elegant wallpapers and bed linens... Extra caring touches abound."
