Haverhill, MA - "This has been the best, and most relaxing vacation. From the outstanding craftsmanship, to the small home touches that make the cabin warm and inviting to all . . . We hiked along all the paths and took in all the amazing views. Enjoyed a cool dip in the pond and ended every day swinging our cares away on the porch swing."
Elizabethtown, PA - "Wow! What a beautiful place. . . the views, the location, the trails, the pond, the cabin! It's obvious this is a place you love dearly. What a joy it was been for us to be here for our honeymoon!"
Hawaii - "We thoroughly enjoyed the peace and quiet and beautiful views. The walks in the woods were just the answer to guiet our restless children. . . The craftsmanship and charm of the cabin truly exceeded our expectations."
West Yorkshire, England - "Very peaceful spot. We enjoyed it! Pond is full of life - frogs, tadpoles, newts. Lots of birds around - most seen from the porch. Also chipmunks, groundhogs and deer."
West Kingston, RI - "We have stayed in many places in Vermont - but NONE compare to yours in any way."
Worcester.MA - "We enjoyed watching the wild turkey family on the hillside near the pond one day . . . We swam every day. The kids just couldn't get enough of the pond."
Baton Rouge, LA - "A truly memorable atmosphere and space yet more than reasonable rates for a week of rustic, New England Autumn heaven. . . We awoke to sunlight, bird calls, and the sound of wind in the trees. We spent nights with wine, thoughts, conversation and a crackling fire. We made blueberry pancakes on a cast iron wood stove then drenched them in Vermont maple! We noticed exactly how many stars there actually are in the night sky. We played board games one rainy afternoon in front of the fireplace as though we were 12. We read books by lantern light and questioned the importance of continuing with services like cable TV and cellular back home."
"I felt good when I was here.
I liked to listen to the birds.
I love the way the wind felt on my face." Winchendon, MA
Wallingford, CT - "Quiet, peaceful, and relaxing best describes our stay. The cabin is warm and cozy and has all the comforts of home. The mountain top view is spectacular!! We loved the swing . . . We were pleasantly surprised early one morning to find two deer wandering around outside eating apples and berries. We enjoyed watching one of them trying to reach the apples on the top of the tree."
Hattiesburg, MS - "Thank you for your attention to every possible detail to make our holiday perfect."
Harwich, MA - "This has to be the quietest and most peaceful place on earth! A lost paradise! . . .The porch swing seemed to be a favorite spot to relax. Except the first night, my youngest daughter tested echoing her voice among the mountains. Suddenly a huge owl came flying down from the upper woods and swooped over and around us. He settled down about 15 minutes later, being content that we weren't taking over his territory or eating up his mouse supply! We were so impressed we went to see the Vermont Raptor Center."
Westminster, VT - "In so many ways this truly is a home away from home . . . Practiced casting out fishing lines at the pond . . . Saw plenty of wildlife and the favorite was the wild turkey that escorted our car down the hill. . . . We also shared the countryside with a red fox, a deer, and plenty of birds."
