Spend your next vacation in a beautiful waterfront house, located right on a sandy, no bank Puget Sound beach. With a spacious master bedroom suite, second bedroom and bath, large living room, full kitchen, sitting room and dining room, this is comfortable place for romance, relaxation and play.
Enjoy 180-degree views of Puget Sound and the Cascade Mountains. Sit on the deck (or sitting room in winter) for hours watching the constant marine show of ferries, boats, ships and wildlife. Speaking of wildlife, careful observers may see eagles, herons, harbor seals, sea lions and gray whales (seasonal), all of which are common, and much more.
Walk on the beach, build a fire at sunset in the fire pit beside the water, dig clams, go crabbing (seasonal), fishing and boating. Enjoy the many restaurants and shops in Langley, 9 minutes away.
This is a perfect romantic getaway for just the two of you. Bring the kids and make it a family event. Rent it with friends. It’s a great place to chat, enjoy the view, sip a little wine and generally relax. Summer, fall, winter and spring, this is a great place to be.

The large deck, with table, umbrella in the summer and gas BBQ is a great place to relax. In addition to the beach, Puget Sound and everything happening on it, the view of the Cascade Mountains extends from Mt. Baker in the north to Mt. Rainier in the south, including Glacier Peak, Mt. Pilchuck, Three Fingers and Whitehorse. Watching the sun set on these mountains is fantastic.
We have a telephone for local calls and connecting to the Internet. Unlike most locations on Whidbey, we have excellent cell phone coverage so you can stay in touch.
Our beach is sandy, with a few pebbles. Because the tides commonly cover a 12 foot elevation range, the appearance of the beach varies throughout the day. At the edge of our lawn is a 2 foot bulkhead down to the beach, with a small boat ramp on one side. Except in a few extreme days of winter, the water doesn’t get within 20 feet of the bulkhead. After about 30 feet of relatively level sand (and some logs) the beach drops down to a second nearly flat level that extends out about 150 feet at the lowest tides. Another 200 feet and the water is 20 to 30 feet deep. Half a mile out, the water is 600 feet deep. This is a very nice beach, not a mud flat as can be found in other locations on Whidbey. Clam digging starts with a tide of about –1.0 feet and gets better with lower tides. The boat ramp is useful for car top boats, canoes and kayaks. For larger boats, there are several public boat ramps within a few minutes drive.
You can walk from the ferry to our house in 5 minutes. This is a real convenience for day visitors during your stay as well as one person commuting to a Seattle area job.
