Guests enjoy peeking at the antique Story Book Doll Collection while strolling through the house to admire the fretwork, stained glass, exquisite fireplaces, and lighting. Some are content to enjoy sipping fresh brewed coffee in the kitchen of this charming turn of the century home. Others end up selecting a good book in the library, where one volume lies open; a pair of old spectacles set on the pages as if time has indeed stood still.
Each guest room offers a touch of the past. They are furnished with Victorian Era Queen-sized beds and antiques. Each room has full bath, individual heating, and air conditioning for your comfort. |
Shops. Antique shops, book shops, gift shops, art shops, and other small shops in Placerville can give an afternoon of entertainment to the bargain hunter or the discriminating collector.
Adventure. White-water rafting, hot-air ballooning, bicycling, and gold panning offer excitement for adventurous spirit.

Mine , Apple Hill orchards, and award winning wineries. Theater El Dorado is remarkable.
History. You can visit the Marshall Gold Discovery State Historic Park and learn about this fascinating period of American History. The El Dorado County Museum and Fountain-Tallman City Museum are in Placerville.
Natural Beauty. The Chichester-McKee house is nestled in the beautiful foothills of the Sierra Nevada mountains at an elevation of 1892 feet. You are only a short drive away from seeing Lake Tahoe, hiking in Desolation Wilderness, driving rugged jeep trails, and skiing at Sierra-at-Tahoe. |
