Alyssas Motel, located on Thomas Pond, RT 302, Casco, Maine, is conveniently located to Sebago Lake, Long Lake, Point Sebago, State Park Beach, Tassel Top Beach, North Conway N.H., restaurants, golfing, shopping, snow skiing, boat rentals and much more.
Great spot for fishing and families.Alyssas has 7 non-smoking rooms and 2 non-smoking suites available for guests. Guests who smoke are welcome, but they must agree to smoke outside, in consideration of other guests who do not smoke (chairs, tables, ashtrays provided). All rooms/suites have picture windows with water views of Thomas Pond. Suites have 2 or 3 rooms consisting of King, or Queen-sized beds, hospitality galley, private bath, color cable TV, and A/C. Single rooms are spacious with 1 King, Queen or 2 full sized beds, A/C, and color cable TV.
Come enjoy our scenic, relaxing waterfront. Walk out your front door to discover a nicely lawned area for picnicking, or visit our dock area to fish or canoe. Launch your own boat if you prefer from the public launch located diagonally across the street from us, or use the canoe that we provide free of charge. Prefer to relax and sip a cold drink? Sit outside in the sun or shade and watch the other boats glide by.
Thomas Pond is a great pond for boating and fishing enthusiasts who prefer a quieter setting than some of the busier area lakes. Thomas Pond is 442 acres large, and has depths of up to 64 ft. Fishing is great as the Pond contains landlocked salmon, both small and large mouth bass, pickerel, and brook trout to name a few. During your stay, why not try a fishing expedition with Fat Bass guided tours? Don't want to drive your own car to your favorite fishing spot? Eric will pick you up dockside at our motel!
How about visiting a little bit of history during your stay with us? Stop by to visit Nathaniel Hawthorne's Inspiration Rock ( a natural rock formation shaped like a chair). This is located on the motel property to the left of the waters edge. The rock has a plaque to commemorate Mr. Hawthorne's boyhood work that was composed on the rock. You can also visit Hawthorne's boyhood home, located on the Hawthorne Road, within a short drive from the motel.
