Come see our family's beautifully decorated and well-equipped 3 bedroom (1 king, 1 king w/crib, and 2 twin built-in daybeds, built-in twin bunkbeds, and a futon double), 2.5 bath vacation home on Bald Head Island, North Carolina! Our home features ocean views from the 2nd and 3rd floors (it is surrounded by evergreens and palms which provide privacy and shade for the 1st floor wrap-around porch but prevent ocean views from the 1st floor; you can, however, hear the waves!);. We are a two minute walk to the beach via our neighborhood's private boardwalk system. Our home includes the use of our 2 golf carts (a 6-seater and a 4-seater) on this no-car idyllic barrier island.
The first floor of our 3-story home is an open floor plan, living, dining, kitchen layout with pickled wood floors, 9' ceilings, a powder room and laundry closet with a full-sized washer and dryer. The second floor of our home is carpeted with 9' ceilings. It has 2 large bedrooms with king sized beds. The master bedroom has a private deck with ocean views and a private bath. The guest bedroom has an alcove with a full-sized crib. There is a full bath in the 2nd floor hallway next to the guest bedroom. The third floor, which has pickled wood floors and 9' ceilings, is a dormer bedroom with ocean views and a pair of built in twin daybeds, built in bunk beds, and a futon couch that folds into a double bed.

Full-sized washer/dryer, dishwasher, microwave, trash compactor, electric range and oven, full-sized refrigerator, and numerous small kitchen appliances, including a coffee maker, bean grinder, blender, George Forman grill, and toaster). The kitchen is well stocked with cooking and baking implements and good quality pots and pans.
Two stereos with CD players, 3 color TVs with cable, 2 VCRs, 2 DVDs, 4 telephones, an answering machine, and a work area with a desk in the master bedroom. Lots of children's videos!
Air conditioned and fully winterized. 9' ceilings.
2 golf carts (6-seater and 4-seater), with lap belts.
All bed linens and bath towels are provided. Fine linens and down pillows. Excellent mattresses on all beds. Large soaking tub and double sinks in master bedroom bath.
Our house includes the use of numerous adult and children's bikes, and is well-stocked with beach chairs and toys and boogie boards of various shapes and sizes! We've also got tons of board and card games, children's videos and children's toys and books for those occasional rainy days!
Our house offers a propane gas grill, patio dining, and a private hot/cold water outdoor shower on the rear patio. Our wrap around front porch features several rockers, a porch swing and a hammock for relaxing with friends and family.

In event of mandatory evacuation of island due to severe weather conditions, rent will be refunded pro rata for nights missed.
In event of cancellation, moneys paid to date of cancellation may be applied toward the rental of the house at any later date within the next 12 months, subject to availability.
In the event that the owners are able to rent the house to someone else for the dates covered by the cancelled contract, owners will refund moneys paid by cancelling party up to amount recovered thru rerenting the house.

Rental rate does not include tax, ferry passage or parking (see web site for details).
Check in is at 3 pm and check out is at 10 am unless other arrangements are made with owners (off season exceptions usually made).

| Pricing is seasonal and is disclosed on our web site in detail. 2007 Weekly rental rates (Saturday to Saturday) vary from $1250 in the winter months to $3050 in the high season (mid-June through mid-August). There is a 3-night minimum off-season, 7-night minimum in season. We offer renters interested in staying longer than one week a 10% discount on each week after the first. We also offer a special 4-night midweek offer in the off season ($825 for 4 nights). All rental rates include the cost of cleaning the house before arrival and after departure, and a temporary membership in the Bald Head Island Club and the Shoal's Club (golf, tennis, croquet, pool, dining, fitness center and kiddie club privileges) for the length of stay. They also include the use of our two golf carts for transportation on the island (a car-free environment). Parking in Southport at the ferry terminal and ferry tickets (as of 8/1/03, $15 r/t for adults and $8 r/t for children) are not included in the rental rate. Applicable sales taxes also will be added to the rental rate. |
