Enjoy the beaches and sandunes lining the coast of South Padre Island. Miles of beautiful shoreline lined with sandunes. Great for shelling. On the north end of the city limits you can drive for miles along the beach. Also, enjoy the horseback riding available on the beaches. Water sports nearby. The Laguna Madre Bay and Gulf are noted for its wonderful fishing. The first week in August boasts one of the biggest fishing tournaments along the Texas coast -- The Texas Int'l Fishing Tournament - Also the winter months are noted for its excellent birding, since we are on one of the major flyways for migrating birds. There are many birding areas located nearby. We also boast one of the finest gulf courses and is located along the bay just north of Port Isabel. Old Mexico, Matamoros, is just 30 minutes away. Spend an afternoon brousing around the Market, and then have lunch or dinner at one of the fine restaurants located in Matamoros.
There are sunset cruises available, as well as boats available for dolphin watching in the bay. For that perefect vacation, come to Casa de Siesta, and enjoy the very best. |

All rooms are non smoking. Two persons per room with one king bed, and up to four persons per room with two full sized beds. Children must be 12 years or older. We are pet friendly, however, pets must be kept on a leash, well housebroken. No puppies.
