MAUI VISTA RESORT. You be the judge. The new solid maple cabinetry is custom made by Decora. The new, tiled bathroom has the same Hansgrohe wallbar shower found in many 4-star hotels; the tub is slip resistant and has a grab rail for your safety. Importantly, this is one of the few units with a/c in both the living area and bedroom. It's in the "quiet building," furthest back from any road noise. (The kitchen and bath upgrades were accomplished during June '06. See photos.)
In addition to air conditioning in both the living area and bedroom, two mesmerizing overhead fans distribute the cool air evenly. A new, firm, queen size mattress was installed in 2005. (Leave your backache here!)
The artist/owner has tastefully furnished his Maui Vista one bedroom garden getaway in Kihei (unit #3104.) Carpeted throughout, it has a ceramic tiled kitchen, bath and lanai. And, of course, cable TV and VCR. The kitchen is complete with a full size refrigerator and oven, microwave, dishwasher ~ plus all the utensils, cookery and dishes you'll ever want. There's also a coffee maker - even a hair dryer. The stacked washer/dryer is closeted neatly away.
The direct phone provides free Maui-wide calls, an answering machine and a data port. Just plug and pay! Also, there's a new CD/tape/FM stereo player.
One of three swimming pools on the property is within 75 ft. of the lanai. For tennis, six individually enclosed Plexipave® championship courts (two per building) are just footsteps away. Racquet and ball rentals are available at the front desk. For golfers, the three world class courses at Wailea and the two at Makena are just minutes away.
Dining out? The quality and abundance of choices cannot be exaggerated. What? You've never heard of Pacific Rim Cuisine?
Parking? It's on site and it's free. |

Nearby your entryway is an informal gas-fired barbecue which is scrupulously cleaned each morning. Tennis? There are two individually enclosed professional level courts readily available at no cost. Tennis racquets and balls may be rented at the front office for a nominal amount. |
| World class Kamaole Beach I is directly across the road. There is a slight walk after crossing (maybe 200 feet to a staircase down to the beach. Rather picturesque.) In fact I took the photograph right on the very beach. You would enter from the right, back near the lava outcroppings. Another desirable amenity is that my ground floor unit affords a generous 13' x 10' tiled lanai (patio) where you can eat or relax in privacy outside if you like. My lanai has a glass topped table and four chairs. The view is of lawn, palm trees and tropical foliage. Also, a fresh water swimming pool is within 100 ft. of the lanai. |
